I love this piece of architecture
I'm having a catharsis!!
So I'm riding down the street after a long day of classes trynig to grab a bite to eat before going in to work. Unfortunately it is always my luck that my car breaks down on me at the most inconvienant times ever!!!! Not only was I stuck in the middle of a busy bypass, i had no way to contact a friend or geico for help. Whatta life??!! Now I'm freezing cold because the climate convienantly dropped 10 degrees and because my job is about a half mile down the street...so I walk!! Essentially my car is camping out at some random establishment and I had an even longer day at work.....it does get easier at some point right????
The Artistry of the Earth!!
True Patriotism...Hair art??
Our world in Peril
These and all polar bears across the world are looking extinction in the face as a result of the human species and its irresponsiblity concerning polution. Because of global warming, large glaciers are melting at unprecedented rates depleting natural habitats for these mamals!!!!! Instead of contributing to Coca Cola sales try investing in green technology to save the world!!

Sister Souljah
(b. 1964)
I never said I was an angel. Nor am I innocent or holy like the Virgin Mary. What I am is natural and serious and as sensitive as an open nerve on an ice cube. I'm a young black sister with an unselfish heart who overdosed on love long ago. My closest friends consider me soft-spoken. Others say I have a deadly tongue. And while it's true that I have a spicy attitude like most of the ghetto girls I know, I back it up with a quick, precise, and knowledgeable mind. My memory runs way back and I'm inclined to remind people of the things they'd most like to forget.
No Disrespect
Souljah was not born to make white people feel comfortable
I am African first, I am Black first
I want what's good for me and my people first
And if my survival means your total destruction, then so be it
You built this wicked system
They say two wrongs don't make a right
But it damn sure makes things even
The Hate That Hate Produced

Artists are responsible for creating images like these that are otherwise impossible to view. The fallibility of history!!!
Here are some beautiful Milky Way Galaxy pictures. It's important to remember that we live inside the Milky Way Galaxy, so there's no way to show a true photograph of what the Milky Way looks like. We can see pictures of the Milky Way from inside it, or see artist illustrations of what the Milky Way might look like from outside. (Fraser Cain)

Interview with a curator
According to art curator Claire Marmion gives five suggestions on how to preserve your artwork.
1. Early fire detection is the key to avoiding a total art loss..
2. No art or fine furniture in the basement please.
3. Following any sort of major renovation or build out to your home, have the locks changed.
4. Ensure the safety of your work as it is being transported, especially by truck.
5. Check the traffic flows in your home. Are there fragile pieces in the same corridor that your deliveries come into or where your children play? Can you swap out three dimensional for two dimensional pieces, unframed contemporary canvases for those with a small slip frame protection? This will reduce surface scratching and gradual erosion at corners.

On the Graffiti Beat-is it art or not?
This image among others proves the fact that graffiti is definetly a work of art. Each artist uses their paintings, sculptures, etc. to express certain emotions or to convey a certain message and this image is the perfect example of both. I admire graffiti artist because their work is so dynamic and detailed considering that most of their tools consist of spray paint and paint brushes.....modern murals!!!!

Public Art
Art education in schools
In my opinion, this form of self expression should be considered a neccessary study in school from grades k-12. Allowing children to explore there creativity openly supports behavior and self esteem. It will also be imperative as a tool in everyday life. Coloring is cool and all, but the moment you create a work of art with crayons and markers you gain a sense of accomplishment and know that everything will be all good!! ;)
This image represents the present human condition in many ways. In a place filled with famine and poverty it sux to know that there is so much media and attention dedicated to the glorification of earthly possesions like diamonds and gold. Its given more value than education in some cases and frequently worshiped. The effectiveness of these items is comparable to polishing a turd.....whats the point???
Total representation of the human struggle!!
This sculpture embodies one of mankind's most difficult task to conqure; Peace, world peace that is. Is it possible? Can a population of similar organisms coexist in harmony and understanding. Is there hope for a world without senseless war and money hungry parasites that attempt to control every aspect of life??????? Why Not!!!!
